Fae Foundation Helping Foster Children In Philadelphia

When you think of Art in the City of Philadelphia, you think of The Philadelphia Museum of Art, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Rodin Museum. You might even think of places like The Franklin Institute or The Barnes Foundation. It’s featured everywhere from the sculpture in Love Park to Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, but sometimes the greatest stores of art go untold. You would be amazed at what a place called the Fae Foundation has accomplished.

The Fae Foundation is a nonprofit made of a small, dedicated team of individuals who are committed to charity and the arts. Comprising Zachary Fae, artist, art collector, and scholar; Deborah Fae; a board of directors; a curator, and immediate family, the Fae Foundation represents a couple’s passion for art, as well as their strong desire to make the world a better place.

Zachary Fae is a painter whose work has been exhibited in numerous galleries in Europe and the United States. The Faes maintain their home on South Broad Street as a functioning art gallery, open to the public by appointment, where they house their art collection of over 200 paintings and other works. This gallery represents one of the finest private art collections in the city. It not only includes the work of many great artists, such as locals Eo Omwake and Paul Gorka (of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts); Joan MirĂ³, Pablo Picasso, and Francis Bacon; it also contains numerous large paintings and prints by Zachary Fae himself.

The organization has been named the Fae Foundation and Fine Art, and is also deemed an arts organization. The Faes have generated revenue through the sales and leasing of these works of fine art from their collection. The funds raised by the Fae Foundation are used to help foster children. They have personally fostered 30 children through the years, many have been special needs kids and some have even been addicted to drugs. It costs over $200,000 annually to help and house the children, which of course includes food, clothing, shelter, and other living expenses. Their efforts continue today and Zachary has started a GoFundMe campaign to help support the Fae Foundation and their work with foster children.

By supporting the Fae Foundation, you help fight the homeless problem and the drug problem that continues to plague the city of Philadelphia. It only takes one person to make a difference in a child’s life, and Zachary Fae is a shining example of that.  Please follow his example.
