Director Craig Railsback filmed actress Dawna Lee Heising performing the Act 5, Scene 1 monologue by Lady Macbeth from Shakespeare’s classic play “Macbeth” for the dramatic short film “Dark Classics”. Heising’s performance as Lady Macbeth was originally directed by Railsback as part of filmmaker Brian Barsuglia’s 2019 documentary “A Bard for the Ages: Shakespeare’s Timeless Effect”, and was later released as “Dark Classics”. “Dark Classics” was edited by Dr. Renah Wolzinger, and produced by Heising, Railsback, Dr. Wolzinger, Keith Wolzinger, Dan Kennedy and Sean Glumace. Dr. Wolzinger is the CEO of Renzone Music, and Railsback is the CEO of Railsback Productions. The “Dark Classics” poster is by Gaz Jackson. To see “Dark Classics”, please visit: youtu.be/0nEYPF-nltg
Heising trained for her performance with actress, musician and playwright Karole Foreman, who is an expert on Shakespeare and recently wrote the musical “Rule My World”, based on Shakespeare’s “Antony and Cleopatra”. Heising is playing Misery in filmmaker Param Gill’s “Bad President”, alongside Eddie Griffin, Robert Amico and Emmy and Golden Globe-winner Justin Shenkarow. She will also reprise her role as Skye in John Reign’s big-budget “Finding Purpose 2”, following the critically acclaimed release of the heartwarming war film “Finding Purpose” from Polestar Studios.
